We are delighted to announce that for the second consecutive year, Petty’s has been shortlisted in two categories at the coveted Lancashire Business Awards, founded by business networking and lobbying group Downtown in Business.

The nominations see Petty’s shortlisted in the Property Firm of the Year category which is a huge coup and which reinforces the fact that despite market conditions, Petty’s continues to move forward, has solid relationships with banks and businesses and which regularly punches above its weight within the sector.

Director, Ian Bythell said: “The accolade follows what has been a fantastic year for the business which has seen us buck trends in property sales as well as consolidate our position on the Preston business scene with a number of acquisitions including the Blackpool-based Errigal Developments.

“We are up against some well respected industry peers within the shortlists so to go on to win would be a great boost for the team.”

Frank McKenna, the chief executive of Downtown Lancashire in Business said: “I would like to congratulate Petty’s on being nominated for the awards. The interest we have received this year has been greater than ever, which is partly as a result of us extending the Downtown brand right across the county. It is great to see so many companies from East Lancashire shortlisted for awards, and it is refreshing to see so many companies enjoying success, despite the challenging economic climate.”

Preston-based, Jody Lauder who scooped the award for Property Professional of the Year in 2011 is also nominated for Networker of the Year which is testament to the relationships he has forged and also in recognition of the inroads he has made since the office opened just over 1 year ago.

Now in their sixth year, the Lancashire Business Award winners are set to be announced at a spectacular event at the Stanley House Hotel on 15th November. Attracting around 180 delegates the awards are considered one of the most exclusive events in the local business calendar. Voting is still open so please feel free to pledge your support via the link
