Colne Town Centre

Share

As non- essential shops and licenced premises begin to open up again externally for now, indoors from the 17 th May, there has been an increasing amount of activity in this popular town.

Colne is conveniently located, being within approximately one mile from Junction 14 of the M65 and close to a number of substantial retail occupiers including, Boundary Mill Stores, Matalan, Aldi, Lidl and Sainsburys. The town centre is not pedestrianised and has a popular market. Retailers have always traded well, and there is good pedestrian footfall and free car parking around the town centre.

We have recently had success with the sale of the former Blockbuster retail unit at number 45 Market Street, this is going to be converted into a ground floor retail unit, with apartments above.

We are also acting on behalf of Barnfield Construction and the redevelopment of the former Health Centre. The upper floors are now complete and these high quality apartments are being Let to a private charity. The ground floor is to comprise of retail units two of which are potentially under offer with the large unit of approximately 4,000 sq.ft still being available but suitable for sub-division into two self-contained units.

In addition the leisure aspect of Colne has always been popular and we have recently been instructed to sell 62 Albert Road, a former licenced wine bar close to other popular licenced premises including Carlos.

We have a number of other smaller retail outlets available to purchase and rent within the town.

Contact our Commercial industry professionals Ben or Brent for further details on 01282 456677.
