After a very encouraging response to the Search for a Star Campaign the team at Petty Real, in conjunction with Burnley Mechanics and Burnley Borough Council, have completed the process of selecting the winning entrant.

The quality of the entrants and the skill of Burnley folks was astonishing. Charlotte commented “there can only be one winner, but some of the entrants really should consider taking their talents to wider audiences. Burnley today, Blackpool Tower tomorrow, and then who knows? Let’s get Simon Cowell on the phone.”

Also part of the Burnley Christmas festivities is the town centre treasure trail offering local children the chance to declare Christmas fully open by turning on the town’s illuminations and receiving £50’s worth of Love to Shop Vouchers just in time for Christmas. This special challenge has seen 7000 children from 27 local primary schools invited to collect Santa Stamps from different participating businesses in the town centre.

The competition had a fantastic response which is testament to the level of community spirit in Burnley. Participating businesses have all given very positive comments expressing their thanks to Petty Real for helping the people of Burnley feel more Christmassy.

After so many parents and children took part in the treasure hunt the lucky winner was selected on the 13th of November.
