Stunning new development in Sabden preserves heritage look and feel

Skipton Properties have just opened their show home at Victoria Fold in Sabden. This stunning development carefully and tastefully reflects the important industrial heritage, of the former Victoria Mill with a collection of stunning family homes.

Skipton Properties have conserved a number of heritage assets within this 30-home, natural stone development on the site of the old Victoria Mill, a major textiles’ producer from the mid-19th century.

Comprising three to five-bedroom family homes and terraced cottages, Victoria Fold is being developed with careful consideration to the significance and heritage values of the site for both current and future generations. The result is a high quality, contemporary development, which both enhances the Sabden Conservation Area and provides much-needed local accommodation.

The prevalent use of local stone as a facing material, predominantly slate rooves of shallow pitch and the inclusion of the original chimneys reformed as two ecological towers ensures these modern, energy-efficient homes sustain the village’s industrial narrative.

We think these family homes with their design and thoughtful consideration to their heritage and surroundings makes them unique and something different from the usual new build developments. But don’t take our word for it, call into the show home and see for yourself.

Show Home will be open Thursday through to Monday 10:30am- 5pm.
