New Preston Office

Leader of Preston City Council, Peter Rankin tonight joined over a hundred established property and business professionals at Forum bar to launch the new Preston office of Petty Commercial.

Having expanded their operations across the North West over the last eight years, Petty has opened its first permanent office in Preston city centre with Jody Lauder at the helm.  In a confident move, this expansion further consolidates Petty’s high ambitions for growth and diversification into other economically active areas and the new office will give the firm greater access to those previously untapped Agency and Professional markets of Lancaster, Blackpool and the Fylde as well as local towns such as Leyland and Chorley.

Jody Lauder who was recently awarded the Property Professional of the Year Award from Downtown Lancashire in Business commented: “This is significant move for the firm and we are confident that with our new team on board, entrepreneurial culture, and commitment to clients, we can compete effectively and efficiently.  The market is tough without a doubt but our size, and historical experience means we are able to offer Landlords and Tenants alike, as well as Property Sector Operators a flexible and cost effective service that certainly doesn’t compromise on result.”

“With people keen to see businesses doing well, the response to the move has been encouraging as we continue to expand our provision of services too for Barnfield Construction, Hurstwood, Bayerton Retirement, Preston City, Euravia, and amongst others all high Street lending institutes.”

Peter Rankin, Leader of Preston City Council and guest of honour on the night added: “This is good news for the firm and for Preston. As we are about to enter our Guild year, this is yet another sign of the fact that people still have confidence in the city and I think that what we are trying to do is clear for all to see.  The city has proved to be more resilient than other regions during the downturn, and has established a great platform for growth.”

Frank McKenna from Downtown Lancashire in Business added: “In the current climate we believe that there is a clear lack of government structure and focus in supporting businesses across our region and so seeing a business such as Petty’s continue to do well, despite the obvious hurdles is a welcome relief and should give a boost to others in the industry.”

Guests were welcomed with complimentary drinks, canapé’s and a caricaturist that captured the attention of the guests with his portraits.
