We’ve got some new starters we’d like to introduce to you. 18 year old Teal Amos and 20 year old Emily Crook have both started on their career path with us as apprentices at our Colne branch. After finishing college Teal decided he didn’t fancy the uni life and contacted us about starting an apprenticeship. Teal’s enthusiasm and professionalism meant we had to say yes and he has now started his apprenticeship in Customer Care. Teal said “I was so pleased to secure this opportunity with Petty and everyone has made me feel very welcome. I’m from Barlick so I’m aware of the good reputation Petty has and I know this will be a brilliant chance for me to learn whilst gaining important practical skills and work experience that I just couldn’t have got if I’d gone done the university route, and I won’t be racking up a big debt.”

Emily applied for her apprenticeship via the Government Apprentice website and has always wanted a career as an estate agent. Emily said “I suppose it comes from having moved quite a bit myself and seeing the process that’s involved, it always struck me as an interesting job to have. I was so pleased to be accepted for the apprenticeship and Petty have a great career pathway within the company so I hope I can go on and progress with them.”

Anita Emmott from our Colne branch said “It’s great to have Teal and Emily with us. We’ve a tight knit team at our Colne branch and they’ve fitted in really well, eager to learn and enthusiastic. So if you’re calling our Colne office it will more than likely be Emily or Teal that answers the phone, be nice and say Hi.”
