Smashing it like real Ninjas

Our physical challenges for this year’s Pendleside Corporate Challenge are continuing in true warrior style. Some of our friends from the outstanding Pendle Forest Ladies hockey team undertook the Ninja Warrior Challenge at Townley on the 1st September on behalf of #TeamPetty.

Deb, Liv and Freya Bythell along with friends Emily and Laura took on the 5km course tackling 10 obstacles along the way, from clambering over huge inflatable barrels, to swinging monkey rings and rope nets.

Liv said “We had great fun and it was such a good atmosphere. It makes a change from the usual 5 or 10 k runs and I’ll definitely be doing it again next year. Plus it was good training for the Great North Run I’m doing next for the hospice”

Liv along with her father Ian Bythell are doing the GNR on 8th September. This is Ian’s second time but Liv’s first.

Ian said ”I’m really looking forward to running with Liv on her first Great North Run. She’s been helping and encouraging me with my training and I’m hoping experience will land me in good stead. Liv is confident she easily beat me across the finishing line, but I’m going to put up a good fight – what’s that story about the tortoise and the hare?!”
