As we finish off the last of the Christmas chocolates, and put the cork firmly back into Grandad’s bottle of Benedictine, it’s the perfect time to take stock of the year gone by and look forward to a full calendar for the coming months.
Last year we finished on a high. There was the Christmas lights switch on, and the Bosom Friends Santa fun run, and of course, the 12 days of Christmas give away.
My personal highlight of the calendar was meeting the local legend Barry Kilby, when we made a £1000 donation to his prostate cancer charity appeal. He is doing some really good work. We wish you all the best for 2020 Barry, keep saving lives. The world needs more people like Barry Kilby!
Another real highlight was when our very own residential director Simon Morgan was on the BBC’s Homes Under the Hammer. It’s really nice to get that sort of recognition and we are still looking forward to seeing Petty Real on the television (you can read the original news story on our blog here).
We want to say a massive thank you to everyone that worked with us over the last 12 months. We’ve met some great people like Sharon Hurst of the Bosom Friends Santa Fun. There was also Major Carol Ainsworth and Mark Hirst who we met when we were helping out with the Salvation Army and the RAN (Relocation Agent Network) food bank appeal, and lots more people. There just isn’t enough time and space to mention everyone.
Of course, it’s easy to look back and take stock of all the places we’ve been and the things we’ve done, but it’s just as important to think about the future too. We’re back at work now and getting into the swing of it once again. January is one of the busiest times of the year for Estate Agents, so if your new year’s resolution is to find a new home, or sell an old one, now is a great time to get started on the journey.
But before we do any of that, first let us say thanks to you all, to all the great folks of Burnley, Barrowford, Barnoldswick, Colne, Nelson, and everywhere in between. May all your hopes and dreams come true in 2020. Here’s to you!
